The LABORATORIUM Museum is a “Social Museum”. Its aim is to collect, preserve, research and disseminate our heritage for everyone’s enjoyment. It works both on site and in the field. Its mission is to be an agent of development based on sustainability and innovation.

The LABORATORIUM Museum’s premises are in Bergara, at the Errekalde Palace, in the middle of a magnificent English-style garden.

Thanks to its Royal Seminary, BERGARA is the cradle of Science in the Basque Country . It was here, around 250 years ago, that a group of inquisitive individuals in the Enlightenment came up with a project that would in due course lead to the discovery of Tungsten/Wolfram in Bergara.

History of the LABORATORIUM Museum: Thanks to many people’s efforts!
